My orange cat Pumpkin loves cuddling with me. I wanted to create a painting reminding me of those moments.

I used light washes of watercolor to build up values and then I started painting some plants.

I continued to use more layers to develop values and work on plants. I started to use some gouache to add a sky in the window, more plants, and some frills to the curtains.

I worked on more values, adding the lineart, and finishing up the plants and flowers. I did use some acrylic paint for the white spots by the flowers since it is much more opaque than gouache.

Here is the finished painting. I have been using a lot of red and orange in my paintings lately. I hope it brings cozy warm vibes to your day!
