I wanted to draw two girls having a tea party.

I worked for a long time on the sketch. I tried to work on their expressions so that it looks like they are on a date.

I used a pink mostly ground. I used yellow in some places and left some places unpainted for other colors later.

I worked on developing the foliage and shadows.

Here is the finished painting! I used gouache for her dress and the frills. I tried to use dry brush to make the lanterns glow more.

I think they look really cute together and I also noticed I accidentally remade a painting from 2019.
