I wanted to create an illustration featuring a girl in a cozy window seat enjoying some tea.

I drew my drawing on watercolor paper with pink pencil and started with light watercolor washes.

I used more layers of watercolor and worked on developing the painting and trying to make the star lights pop.

I used white gouache mixed with some blue and pink to color the window part. I think it looks like the seat is in front of the window instead of in the window, but she’s still having a lovely time.
